About the ADC Mediation Course

An ADR industry leader, ADC has been at the forefront of providing mediation training courses since 1986. Recognised nationally and internationally, ADC has successfully trained thousands of professionals from all walks of life in mediation skills and processes.

Mediator Accreditation

Participants wishing to become ADC Accredited mediators and apply for recognition under the Australian National Mediator Accreditation System need to undertake the additional Accreditation Day. Please register separately for the Accreditation Day HERE

Meet Our Training Faculty 

 

Franca Petrone is one of Australia’s leading dispute resolution practitioners, trainers and academics. She currently runs a Masters course in Dispute Management for the ANU College of Law with an academic background spanning 25 years lecturing at various universities. Franca works as a mediator, facilitator, conflict management coach, restorative engagement specialist, trainer and mentor, providing services to a wide range of public and private sector organisations. Franca mediates in areas including commercial, workplace, personal injury and family matters. She was the inaugural Secretary and a Director of the Australian Mediator Standards Board over many years and is currently a Conference Registrar for the Australian Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

 

Mary Walker has been at the forefront of ADR in Australia for the last 27 years. During this period, as a member of an independent Bar, Mary has arbitrated, mediated, negotiated and facilitated multi-party, environmental and community disputes;  designed dispute resolution systems and provided expert appraisal and ombudsman services in respect to thousands of disputes referred by solicitors, industry and government bodies, and corporations both domestic and international. Mary is Chair of the ADR Committee of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Section and Co-Chair of the International Arbitration Committee of the International Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. She is a member of the Supreme Court of New South Wales ADR Committee, a member of the International Mediation Institute Standards Commission and International Mediation Institute Independent Standards Commission Quality Group.  Mary has also lectured and published extensively in ADR at Harvard University, Bond University, the University of Sydney, Stanford University and University of Technology.
